The very entertaining 2012 edition of Music of the Night at Santa Barbara High School featured production numbers from the latest musicals and showcased some great talent and management skill. This student directed, choreographed and produced Broadway musical revue has evolved impressively over the last 12 years.

The 4 directors – Clayton Barry, Savanna Jordan, McKenna Mender and Claire Patterson – were selected by the previous year’s directors. Sponsors included The Walking Company and Hub International Insurance Services. Click on the link above to see more on stage and backstage photos.

Members of this year’s King of Hearts Court were (left to right) Alberto Hernandez, Jose Coria (who was crowned King later in the evening of February 9), foreign exchange student Julio Melley, Nicholas Marks and Bradford Jellison. The sixth prince, Maxwell St. John was out of town visiting a potential college but he did show up to celebrate with fellow princes at the SBHS Winter Formal two nights later. More formal pics as well as images from the SBHS v Ventura Basketball Game and crowning ceremony on February 9 can be found in the King of Hearts Court Gallery.

The Santa Barbara Dons were extra busy this week watching talents of the King of Hearts Court (Julio Melley’s Italian apparently being one of the highlights), enjoying the basketball team beat Ventura after Jose Coria was crowned King on Febrary 9, seeing the last performances of this year’s Music of the Night and finally, doing some serious posing at the SBHS Winter Formal on February 11. If you don’t want to crop your photo you will need to select a 4 x 6 or 8 x 12 size. Tax and shipping (usually around $3.50) will be added to your total and you will receive your order in a week to 10 days.
